Nokia unveils new smartphone Nokia 8

You might think it a little steep - especially considering that the Nokia 6, one step down, costs just £200.

It comes with a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that can be extended up to 256GB.

We offer a range of accessories perfectly tailored to suit the active lifestyle of any Nokia 8 owner. The Nokia 8 offers no waterproofing however. People initially mistook the Nokia 8 for the Nokia 9, but this was later cleared up.

HMD Global's licensing deal for Nokia phones was announced in May of 2016 and includes the rights to develop, build, distribute and market Nokia-branded smartphones.

HMD Global has also tweaked the camera software. While the first lens shoots coloured shots with OIS, the secondary rear camera shoots in monochrome.

Nokia 8 boasts an unibody design and is crafted using a single block of 6000 series aluminum. Then there is the Zeiss Optics logo to be seen as well, which again harks back to the golden days on Nokia. Thus there is a lot of hype and anticipation surrounding the Nokia 8.

The camera department is where the Nokia 8 is hoping to shine.

So far most of the attention lavished on the "New Nokia Phones" has been for its remake of the 3310, a retro 2G phone. This camera module has f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. However, for some unknown reasons, Nokia did not launch the Nokia 9, maybe the device is not yet ready for the official unveiling. It is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that come coupled with Adreno 540 GPU.

A high-end, phablet-sized Nokia smartphone - popularly dubbed the "Nokia 9" - has been rumoured for a while.

- LTE, two SIM card slots. It is currently priced at 599 euros or $705. This means that the Nokia 8 will be able to capture 360-degree audio for live broadcasts. As of now these are the only details we have on the phone.

"Both cameras can be active at the same".

The HTC U11 is available now and costs £649, making it around £100 more expensive than the Nokia device.

"Nokia are partners, but it's so much more than a licence", says Seiche.

Nokia, under HMD Global, has launched its first flagship Android smartphone, the Nokia 8, slated to compete against Samsung's Galaxy S8 and the Apple iPhone 8. The global launch of the smartphone will happen in September. With the design we're definitely bringing some of that. Bixby AI is also said to be feature in the phone.

The Nokia 8 has a special feature called "Bothies, | which uses Nokia's Dual Sight technology".
