Alexis Sanchez ready to play for Arsenal against Bournemouth

Days on from featuring in Arsenal's mauling at the hands of Liverpool, his hopes of a move to Manchester City went up in smoke as the clubs failed to reach an agreement for his transfer on deadline day.

The Chilean's deal expires in June and was the subject of much interest from Manchester City.

And in a bid to get their talismanic forward back to his best ahead of the two remaining qualifying games, supporters say they will march on the streets of the capital Santiago and call for his return to bachelorhood.

"You get tired of being criticised with reason and without reason, you get tired of wanting to be defeated, you get tired of saying to yourself "I'll get up again" after crying after a defeat", he said.

"It was not easy, Thomas wanted to go to Arsenal and to Liverpool, but we had discussions and we took a joint decision so that he could stay here".

"We have 107 players in England who go into the final year of their contract".

Alexis Sanchez has been included in Arsenal's squad for this season's Europa League campaign. He was left out of the starting XI for the Gunners' Premier League fixture at home against Bournemouth on Saturday.

"Alexis is at a top club like Arsenal but he was very happy to move on to another big club (Man City)". Sometimes the deals work and sometimes not.

"If he doesn't perform, the English press will break him just as they did with Claudio Bravo and the teammates can turn their backs on him".

"The flexibility of his ankle is good, his mobility is good and now it's time to get him back to full fitness without any setbacks".

"But this is a player who loves football".

"I know him from Barcelona".

"We only made an offer with cash, they accepted but [we] couldn't sign their player".

"I'm calm, all of us here are completely ready and we have a competitive mentality", he added.

"For me it's all down one thing", Ferdinand said on BT Sport, as quoted on the London Evening Standard.
