Jimmy Nelson to miss remainder of 2017 season

These are the final three games that will be played between the Brewers and Cubs at Wrigley Field this season.

In my eyes, the pitching matchup is even, so with that cancelling out, the Brewers have outplayed the Cubs I the first two games of the set and need these wins much more than the Cubs do. Catcher Rene Rivera drove in the lone Chicago run with a double while starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks pitched well-he surrendered three runs over six innings pitched-but was outdone by Milwaukee starter Zach Davies. Nelson, who is 12-6 with a 3.49 ERA, has a strained right rotator cuff strain and partial anterior labrum tear. The Rays, meanwhile, are also hopelessly behind in the AL East, but again, who wouldn't want to help take down the defending World Series champions?

Known as "Stick", Michael managed the Cubs for parts of the 1986 and 1987 seasons during turbulent times, compiling a record of 114-124.

"We're trying to hit a pause button for a couple of different starters", Hurdle said. The only run allowed came in the first on a Neil Walker home run. Ben Zobrist went 2 for 4 while Alex Avila and Rob Zastryzny added a base hit each respectively in the losing effort. The current deal was just signed this last off season, so we'll have to wait until 2021 for the next negotiations. "That's the facts. We've had some very good moments against them". In the meantime, Michael Wacha has strung together three solid starts, and Lance Lynn is having a career year on the bump.

"I have nothing to complain about", he said. They are eighth in batting average (.253) and tied with three other teams for second in OBP (.335).

Goldschmidt remains sidelined • Diamondbacks slugger Paul Goldschmidt was held out of the lineup for the fifth game in a row even though he said he feels good and could play.

He got to meet with Cubs Hall of Famer Billy Williams, who like Dooley, hails from Mobile, Ala. Still, the Brewers say they won't overlook Pittsburgh after learning a valuable lesson last week against the last-place Reds. If the season ended today, the Cubs would play the Washington Nationals in the National League Division Series.

They better be. The season is coming to a head. Travis Shaw leads the Brewers in most key offensive categories and has a line of.276/.348/.528 with 28 homers and 86 RBI. Saturday, the Brewers face Mike Montgomery - yup, Braun took him deep this year at Wrigley, too.

Remember the controversy surrounding this game being moved to a nighttime start? We just can't consciously support the villains.
