Julian Draxler: 'I'm not thinking about leaving Paris Saint-Germain'

The German forward has been in Paris less than a year but the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have effectively relegated him to a reserve role.

"I am not thinking about leaving the club in winter or even in the summer", he said. "I am in mid-season with PSG now and I am focused on the high aims we have", he told reporters in a post-match interview.

Primarily used as a left winger for much of his career, Draxler would not only add unquestionable quality to Bayern's front line but he would also offer a genuine, long-term replacement to Franck Ribery.

Neymar's €222million arrival from Barcelona has raised interest levels further at the Parc des Princes, as the Brazilian's relationship with Emery and strike partner Edinson Cavani have come under scrutiny. There is a host of rumors - new and old - to digest as the Reds look to cement their return to the Champions League with back-to-back qualifications. "Now is not the relevant time to think about my immediate or near future".

"He's a very polite and nice guy who knows how important he is for the team" said Draxler, "For a player like him it is okay to demand privileges".

"It is for this reason that he gets a few privileges".

Reports in Spain earlier this week claimed PSG are ready to put the likes of Lucas Moura, Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore and Hatem Arfa up for sale when the window reopens but will retain the services of Draxler. Neymar arrived for a staggering €222m this summer and has been a hit so far this season, scoring 11 goals and providing nine assists in all competitions. No one at PSG is jealous or angry with him.
