Liverpool and Tottenham target Timo Werner plays down transfer rumours

The director has made certain that Timo Werner will not move to Real Madrid in either January or the summer transfer window.

RB Leipzig sporting director, Ralph Ragnick has rejected the talk of Werner joining Real Madrid anytime soon!

The highly-rated 21-year-old has seen his stock rise considerably since joining Leipzig on the back of their promotion to the Bundesliga in 2016. Currently, the Spanish Giants are lagging behind Barcelona by 8 points.

Werner has been turning heads with his displays for Die Bullen this season, with 11 goals from 17 appearances in all competitions.

During Leipzig's Champions League clash with Besiktas, he had to be substituted because the noise inside the Vodafone Arena was so loud that he found it painful for his ears and felt dizzy. His goal scoring prowess is remarkable for someone so young, and a move to Real Madrid could accelerate his career.

Zinedine Zidane has not ruled out dipping into the market in January but the Bernabéu board are reluctant to recruit a number nine, largely because Vinicius Júnior, the Flamengo starlet purchased by Madrid for 45 million euros, is likely to arrive ahead of schedule next summer and also because the club is considering selling Gareth Bale due to his injury problems to make way for another forward, with Inter's Mauro Icardi under consideration.

Timo Werner has also been linked with Bayern Munich. Werner is a forward player who has the capability to play out wide.

There is a lot of talent in this individual and a potential that can take him sky-high!
