Samsung's Galaxy A6 phones give you lots of megapixels

The company has integrated Always on Display using which you can view information without having to unlock the smartphone.

The Galaxy A6 features a 5.6-inch HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Both the devices come in 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variants. Everything will be powered by a 3000mAh battery. It also sports a 3.5mm audio jack and Dolby Atmos. Geekbench test revealed that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 variant SM-N960U will have 1.77 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU and 6GB of RAM. It has a fixed focus selfie camera of 16-megapixel with f/1.9 aperture that comes with a dedicated LED flash. Samsung has made it a point to talk about the adjustable front LED flash that will let you take stylish selfies no matter the lighting conditions.

The Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ have been positioned below the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ (2018) in Samsung's revamped mid-range lineup. Any Samsung device that supports Bixby and the Bixby Home app, including the flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 families, along with the Galaxy Note 8, will be eligible for Oath content and advertising, if Verizon decides to deploy the marketing in the area that the device is sold in. The 16-megapixel rear camera is great for taking sharp, detailed pics in low light thanks to its bright f/1.7 aperture and large 1/2.8-in sensor.

With respect to internals, the Galaxy a-6 will find an octa-core 1.6GHz SoC, and the Galaxy a-6+ will probably find an octa-core 1.8GHz 1. The A6 Plus has a bigger display, bigger battery, dual rear cameras and slightly higher pricing. There's a 24MP front-facing camera as well.

Connectivity: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5GHz), HT40, Bluetooth 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-B, NFC, GPS, Glonass, BeiDou. Both the phones run on Android 8.0 Out-of-the-box with a custom skin on top.

The roomier devices will come in all the regular colors-black, blue, and purple-and they'll only be available directly from Samsung. In the coming weeks the phones will be released in certain European, Asian and Latin American countries, Samsung said, before hitting South Korea, Africa and China.
